One of the wonderful things abut yoga is that you can engage with it on many different levels and benefit in a variety of ways. Some people practise yoga to develop or maintain flexibility, balance or strength, while others enjoy the relaxation, the improved breathing and the sense of well-being that yoga can provide. People of all ages and levels of fitness can benefit from regular yoga practice.
This program, which is suitable for those who have been practising regularly for more than twelve months, offers a 30 minute general level yoga session guided by an experienced and qualified yoga instructor. It incorporates a full range of asanas (yoga poses), giving you a completely balanced hatha (physical) yoga experience. The class sequence incorporates use of the block to enhance your technique.
To further help you to develop your yoga practice, the names of the asanas are shown on the screen, in both Sanskrit and English, plus some of the potential benefits of each asana are listed. A home practice sequence is also available to help you to develop your individual practice once you are familiar and confident with the yoga sequence.
